All of our companies have 1-800 claim numbers which you are free to use, however we prefer you contact Kim or Kirk so we can submit the claim for you. We can assist with any emergency measures that may need to be taken.

What does education have to do with it?

Our agency requires 15 hours of approved continuing education every year.  The Missouri State Insurance Department only requires 10 hours every 2 years.  In an industry that could change with one court case, we feel the state requirement is inadequate, especially with our clientele.

What is an Umbrella Policy?
A Personal Umbrella Policy is an insurance policy that increases liability limits on personal home, boat, motorcycle or auto policies.  They are for coverage limits starting at $1 million and go up from there.  Umbrellas are recommended for everyone, especially if you are a business owner or professional with a solid income and accumulated assets.  We can discuss your situation to determine the right amount of coverage for you.

What is BI or Bodily Injury?
Bodily Injury coverage is the amount of coverage, usually on your auto policy, that is paid out in the event you cause injury to someone.  The limit is usually shown split such as 250,000/500,000.  If this is your coverage your insurance company would defend you or pay for injuries up to $250,000 per person or $500,000 per accident.

What is PD or Property Damage?
This term is usually found on your auto insurance policy. It is the amount your insurance company will pay for damage to someone else’s property.

What is UM or Uninsured Motorist coverage?
Uninsured motorist coverage is coverage you carry to protect yourself from people who drive illegally without insurance.  A recent survey shows 1 out of 6 drivers are uninsured in Missouri.

What is UIM or Underinsured Motorist Coverage?
This is coverage that can be purchased to protect yourself from other motorists who carry less insurance coverage than you, such as Missouri Minimums.

Is my Collection Covered?
Often times it depends on your insurance policy, but usually collections such as guns, jewelry and others have a limit under the policy.  To be sure, you need to review with your insurance agent and see if scheduling the collection is the appropriate action.

What are Missouri Minimums?
Missouri Minimums are the least amount of insurance you are legally allowed to have in the State of Missouri.  Currently, they are Bodily Injury at $25,000 per person, $50,000 per accident, $10,000 property damage and $25,000/$50,000 for uninsured motorist.

Is my ATV Covered?
Typically your ATV is not covered under your home insurance policy.  You will need to purchase an ATV policy if you want the vehicle covered for theft, accident or liability.  Your riding lawn mower is covered because it is used to solely service the residence premises.
